My first premium compact camera that offered portability and great image quality at the same time.

I really enjoyed the Ricoh GR. I think I managed to get one before they got incredibly hyped. I purchased mine in 2014 and sold it after ten years of careful use for the exact price I'd purchased it for.

The GR was the first camera that introduced me to the concept of 'recipes' and had numerous different film simulations. The high contrast black and white version was one of my favourites.

I would like to try another GR in the future to see if they've fixed some of the problems that I found with the camera.

A dirty gas hob with a frying pan placed on one of the rings. Rows of plastic stadium seating
A shop front with various items crowded into the window.

A shop front on Shad Thames, London.

A stairwell with a number 2 decal on the wall.
A dark street with only a streetlight for illumination.

I really enjoyed the high contrast black and white simulation that the Ricoh GR had.

A road junction with a pub in the background. Graffitti adorns the brick walls on a corner building.
